This Cookie Policy explains how Veld Wyser uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use our platform.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that enable the functioning of the platform, improve user experience, and provide insights into usage.

Cookies are small data files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device and store certain information about your preferences or past actions.

We may also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels, and tracking scripts.

3.1 Strictly necessary — always active, no consent required:

• sb-* (Supabase) — keeps you logged in and secures your session. Duration: session up to 1 year.
• cookie_consent (Veld Wyser) — stores your cookie choice. Duration: 1 year.
• __ph_opt_in_out_* (PostHog) — remembers your analytics choice so that PostHog respects it. Contains no identifier. Stored in local storage once you have made a choice.

3.2 Functional — remember your preferences, such as the chosen language. Stored in your browser’s local storage rather than as a cookie.

3.3 Analytics — only placed after you press “Accept all”:

• ph_* (PostHog, EU Cloud) — measures which pages are used and records sessions so we can find usability problems. Input fields are masked. Duration: 1 year; recordings are kept for 30 days.

If you choose “Only necessary”, we only count your visits anonymously, without cookies: PostHog calculates a privacy-friendly code (hash) on its servers from, among other things, your IP address and browser details. Nothing that identifies you is stored on your device, no sessions are recorded and the count is not linked to your account. As long as you have not made a choice, nothing is measured.

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

We use:

• strictly necessary cookies without consent — these are exempt from the consent requirement because they are essential to deliver the service you requested;
• all other cookies only after your consent. Nothing is placed or read before you choose;
• anonymous visit counting without cookies after you choose “Only necessary” — based on our legitimate interest in knowing how many people use the platform (see 3.3).

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. Withdrawing stops analytics cookies and session recording immediately and removes the data already stored in your browser; after that, your visits are only counted anonymously.

Some cookies may be set by third-party services, such as analytics or infrastructure providers.

These third parties may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Cookies are stored for varying durations:

• session cookies: deleted when you close your browser;
• persistent cookies: stored for a defined period or until manually deleted.

You can control cookies through:

• your browser settings;
• the cookie banner on our platform.

Disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
